WCR Your Connection to San Antonio,
Kevin Wolff & Sheryl Sculley Speak
On October 1st, WCR held its
monthly Business Resource Meeting with
special guest speaker, Kevin Wolff, former
city councilman and candidate for Bexar
County Precinct 3 Commissioner. Kevin
spoke briefly about his background and
knowledge of the real estate industry as he
formerly worked with First American Title
and currently is the Vice President of
Strategic Development for Dominion
Advisory Group.
He then added that growing up
watching his dad, Nelson Wolff, in politics
initially lessened his interest in serving.
During a Q&A session President Elect
Missy Stagers asked Wolff about his passions.
After turning red, he answered his
wife and children. He then continued to
share a story of service while living in New
York City during the 9/11 attacks. A Naval
veteran, Kevin was humbled by the experience,
watching first hand how citizens
make a difference for each other. That
must have been the service bug that bit
Wolff. Returning home it was now time

for Kevin to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Wolff, a qualified community advocate,
made great strides as City
Councilmen for District 9. Our chapter
benefited from one of the projects Kevin
worked on during our Picnic with your
Pooch event, at McAllister Dog Park.
Kevin’s ambitions for the city of San
Antonio and Bexar County continue to
grow. Endorsed by SABOR, Wolff hopes
to watch more community initiatives blossom
if elected on November 4th to the
Commissioner’s Court.
After the program, several messages
were delivered regarding organization and
community outreach. This month WCR is
reaching out to various associations exposing
our membership to further educational
and networking opportunities. WCR
members were invited to attend the
NAPMW meeting and listen to Susan
Young’s program entitled Four Letter
Words For Success, and invited to a Casino

Next month our WCR Business
Resource Meeting is on November 5. Our
speaker is Sheryl Sculley; city manager
since November of 2005. She oversees an
annual operating and capital budget of
more than $2 billion that serves a community
of more than 1.3 million residents.
In her two years as City Manager,

organization. She appointed more than 60
executives including Deputy and Assistant
City Managers, Department and Assistant
Department Directors. Ms. Sculley reorganized
the administrative structure, developed
a two-year balanced operating budget,
and developed a $550 million, five
year bond program that is the largest in
City history. Her budget recommendations
closely followed City Council priorities by
adding 100 police officers, 50 fire and
EMS personnel, increased street maintenance
resources, more code enforcement
officers, and needed financial reserves.
