Golf Tournament Great Success
Keller Williams’ Hearts and
Hands community outreach program
proudly announces the success of
their 2008 Charity Golf Tournament.
The tournament, held September
19th at Silverhorn Golf Club of
Texas, raised $25,000 for two local
charitable organizations. More than
140 golfers participated in the day’s
activities which culminated with a
dinner provided by Outback Steak
House. Title Sponsor was W.R.
Starkey Mortgage. Special thanks
also go to our other sponsors, as well
as all those who helped make the
event a rousing success—volunteers,
donors and participants alike. The

in safe, permanent homes.
Returning Heroes Home is dedicated
to building a new “Warrior and
Family Support Center” to provide a
safe place to enhance the healing
process and help our wounded warriors
and their families learn how to
cope with war-related disabilities.

Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard Sponsors San
Antonio Roadrunners 5 mile whine run/walk
The 6TH annual San Antonio
Road Runners’ Labor Day 5 Mile Whine
Run was held at Vintage Oaks at the
Vineyard, who co-sponsored the event
with Dry Comal Creek Vineyards and
Winery in New Braunfels. The Whine
Run is the 6th race of the Alamo Series,
which consists of 9 progressively challenging
races to prepare runners for the
San Antonio Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon to
be held November 16, 2008. The Whine
Run provided runners a challenging 5
mile course through the beautiful hills
and amenities of Vintage Oaks, a 3,200
acre master-planned Bluegreen community.

offered runners a course alternating
from gradual hills to flat terrain that
challenged runners of all levels on the
tough, out-and-back 5 mile course.
Following the race, the 875 runners
descended upon Dry Comal Creek
Vineyard and Winery for tastings of their
award winning wines along with a brunch
presented by Vintage Oaks. The next
race in the series will be held October
11th at Mission County Park and will be
