Chairman of the Board. He has also
served as an Executive Committee member
at the state level for the last two years.
During 2008, Mr. Patterson Chaired the
Housing Forecast Committee and the
Texas REALTOR® Leadership Program.
He was also active on the Education and
TREPAC committees.
In addition to being involved with
the REALTOR® Association, Mr.
Patterson holds several designations
including GRI, ABR, PMN, CRB and
CRS. As a designated CRS, he has held
positions on the CRS Board of Directors
and was the Chapter Policy Review Board
Chairman in 2007.
Mr. Patterson has been recognized
for awards in the past including the
SABOR Broker of the Year and was
recently inducted into the Omega Tau Rho
Fraternity at the state level. He has also
received the Alamo Chapter CRS of the
Year and the Lone Star CRS Chapter CRS
of the Year award.
Mr. Patterson has been married to
Karen Patterson for over 19 years and
together they have six children. They also
have ten grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
Steve Silver, VP of sales for
Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper REAL-
TORS®, is the 2008 Special Achievement
Award recipient. Mr. Silver has been a
member of the San Antonio Board of
REALTORS® since 1992 and has served
on several committees. In 2001, he served
as the Chairman of the Multiple Listing
Service Committee and from 2002-2004,
he served as the Board Liaison on the
Forms Committee. He also served 2
three-year terms on the SABOR Board of
Directors from 2002-2007 and served as
an Executive Committee Member-at-
Large in 2003. Additional committees
where Mr. Silver has given his time
include Professional Standards, Grievance
and Business Planning. He also served as
an Ombudsman in 2003.
Mr. Silver believes in giving back
to the community and does his part by participating
as a Director of the Coldwell
Banker D'Ann Harper AT&T
SAMMinistries annual golf tournament
that has raised almost $500,000.00 over
the last four years.
Jay Gilmore is the 2008 Affiliate
of the Year recipient. Born in Missouri
and growing up in Memphis, Mr. Gilmore
headed south to Texas after college and
settled in Boerne.
Mr. Gilmore has been very active in
the real estate industry and has served on
SABOR committees including REAL-
TOR®/ Builder and Equal Opportunit in
Housing. He was also the 2008 Chairman
for the Education Committee and is the
incoming Vice Chair of the 2009 REAL-
TOR® Rally Committee. Over the last
four years he has been very active with
WCR and was named their 2007 Member
of the Year. He is an approved TREC
Instructor and in past years has worked
with the membership committee at
GSABA. WR Starkey Mortgage is proud
to have Mr. Gilmore on staff as a Senior
Loan Officer.
Marty Hutchison, active in property
management since 1993, is the 2008

Mr. Hutchison works
with Wakefield
REALTORS® and
has been an active
SABOR member
since receiving his
license.
He believes in giving back to his
profession and his colleagues, and has
done so through his leadership for the past
five years on the San Antonio Board of
REALTORS® Property Management
Committee where he is currently the Vice
Chair. In addition, he is the 2008
President of the San Antonio Metropolitan
Area Chapter of NARPM and is involved
in several NARPM state and national
committees.
Professionally, Mr. Hutchison holds
three designations — RMP, GRI, and
RFC. He is completing his Master
Property Managers (MPM) designation,
which is only held by one other property
manager in the real estate industry.
In 2009, Mr. Hutchison will be a
member of the Texas REALTORS®
Leadership Program
(TRLP).
Michael
Weiss of 4M Realty
Company is the 2008
recipient of the
William E. Fleming
Distinguished
Service Award. Mr.
Weiss has been a
SABOR member since 1983 and is a former
Executive Board member. He is currently
involved with the Building
Advisory task force. Mr. Weiss is also a
past recipient of the SABOR REALTOR®
Broker of the Year award.
In addition to SABOR, Mr. Weiss is
also involved in the REALTORS®
Commercial Alliance (RCA). He is a past
President of CID, involved with the
XCeligent Database Committee, marketing
and Broker Breakfast & Membership
solicitation.
Jack C. Jones is the 2008 recipient
of the Joseph M.
Cullinan Farm and
Land Specialist of
the Year award. A
native to San
Antonio, Mr. Jones
spent 35 years in the
information technology
industry until he
became a REAL-
TOR® in 2002 and
joined the Boerne office of Bradfield
Properties.
In 2006, Mr. Jones received the
Peoples’ Choice Spirit Award at Bradfield
Properties and earned his GRI designation
in the same year. Jack has also been active
at SABOR where he was elected as Vice-
Chairman of the Farm & Land Committee
in 2006 and was the 2007 Chairman. Mr.
Jones is also a 2007 graduate of the Texas
REALTORS® Leadership Program.
