Challenges and Change, the negative
to positive approach. Webster’s dictionary
defines challenge as demand as
due or deserved. It also defines change as
to give a different position, course, or
direction to. Now put these two together
and demand a different position, course or
direction as deserved….What a powerful
statement.
Every time you turn on the news for
the last year we have heard negativity from
every angle. I can’t even remember the
last piece of non negative news. This is
really sad and also shows how much mainstream
media and people fall prey to negative
issues. When we realize how much
we tend to let this create are moods and
most important influence are decisions we
can see the need to turn it off. Why does
misery love company ?
Gandhi once said, “You must be the
change you wish to see in the world.” That
I say deserves a hearty AMEN! So let’s
take that statement of DEMAND A DIF-
FERENT POSITION, COURSE OR

change you wish to be or see.
You can wake up today and look at
the world different. Take what others perceive
as negative, change and make something
good out it or well deserved! The
hardest part is getting yourself out of the
way of moving forward. I often tell my
grandson’s I do not believe in the word I
can’t. It does not exist in my vocabulary.
I may need help, but I can do anything I
desire, if I choose to. The ability is in the
effort I want to have to achieve what I
desire.
Take on one or two changes this
year in business. Turn them into positives.
Create yourself a challenge to reward
yourself with what should be deserved.
Okay, so everyone says it is a down market,
businesses are failing, people are loosing
jobs, money is tight, and the list goes
on. What an absolute perfect time to be
the silver in the lining, to make a success.
There is very little competition in times
like these…most are to busy wanting company
in their misery vs. taking the steps
forward to grow.

Our last Business Resource meeting
we had a special guest, Tanji Patton.
She is a fine example to follow. She has
taken her change as dealt to her and created
a challenge for herself in a market
when most would be closing their doors,
saying it will never work in todays economy
