Sitterle Homes
Sitterle Homes has established deep
roots in the south Texas home building
industry. Since 1964, the family-owned
company has been synonymous with quality,
dependability, and customer service and
has employed good old-fashioned hard
work to create and construct the best garden,
traditional and estate housing in the greater
San Antonio area. Frank Sittlerle, Founder,
built his reputation building traditional
homes centered on family. A second generation
of Sitterles has teamed with partner
Jeff Buell to continue Sitterle Homes’ tradition
of fine homebuilding.
As needs changed for its core
clientele, Sitterle Homes was one of the first
builders to approach the garden home market
with a variety of options for buyers who
needed to downsize or just did not desire a
large traditional home and yard. Luxury
and space have never been sacrificed in the
company’s garden home plans. Open, flowing
floor plans create a grand space for
entertaining; gourmet kitchens include
high-end appliances and entertainment features;
master suites feature sitting areas and
luxurious master baths. Secondary bedrooms
are often placed opposite the master
to allow for maximum privacy in the most
efficient use of square footage. Today,
many Sitterle garden homes are as large as
some traditional designs but are custom fitted
to smaller homesites. These homes feature
low-maintenance materials, and many
communities provide yard maintenance for
residents, contributing to a carefree lifestyle,
where empty nesters or young professionals
can “lock and leave” their homes to travel or
do whatever they want.
Sitterle Homes also continues to
build estate homes on homebuyers’ homesites
within relatively close proximity to San
Antonio. The company has recently built
estate homes in Cordillera Ranch, River
Crossing and Iron Horse Canyon, among
others. Sitterle has design teams that will
work with architects and individual homesites
to customize the buyers’ floor plan.
The purchase of a home matches a particular
stage in one’s life, and Sitterle Homes
builds a beautiful, spacious home designed
to fit the lifestyle of the buyer. The true testament
to success is a loyal following and
the repeat business of Sitterle buyers.
In 2007, the company also expanded
into the Rio Grande Valley with its single-
