Legacy Mutual
Mortgage
When San Antonio Mortgage
Veteran’s Bob Gardner and Dan
Diepenhorst formed an alliance
three years ago, the vision was
simple: Deliver the very best customer
service period. This goal had
been obtained by combining the
skills and talents of Gardner
Financial Services, LTD. and
Legacy Mutual Mortgage. The
locally owned and operated Private
Mortgage Banking firm originates
mortgages under Legacy Mutual
Mortgage.
Bob Gardner serves as CEO
and Dan Diepenhorst serves as the
President. Bob Gardner has been in
the Mortgage banking Industry for
the past 38 years. Gardner had previously
built the local firm of
Partners Mortgage Services that
was later sold to Southtrust Bank.
Legacy Mutual Mortgage
was founded for the sole purpose
of helping Texas families, one family
at a time. It is evident that
Legacy Mutual Mortgage has a passion
for true customer service from
the moment you walk in the door.
From the welcome board that
names each client for the day, to
the warm greeting and drink menu
in the lobby. The goal is for a professional
feel with a relaxed
atmosphere.
Legacy Mutual Mortgage
aims not only to satisfy their
client’s needs, but to turn them into

turn them into Raving Fans.
Raving Fans. Nearly all of the
company’s business is on a referral
basis. They are hitting their clients
on a personal level, making them
feel as ease. “In this ever changing
economy that we are in, clients are

them through the
process.” says
Diepenhorst.
They also educate
both their
R e f e r r i n g
Partners and their
clients, and that
type of one service
has proven
victorious for
them.
Unlike
most mortgage
companies,
Legacy Mutual
Mortgage pays
close attention to
the client’s two
biggest complaints
about big
mortgage companies. The first
complaint is the unreturned phone
calls and the second complaint surprise
is in the changes in terms and
figures at closing. The culture
at Legacy Mutual
Mortgage is to communicate
with the clients and
Referring Partners. The feedback
of this process has been
huge.
The Legacy staff is comprised
of 19 loan officers and an
experienced support staff. While
several are specialists, most
Legacy Mutual Bankers are wellversed
and have a wealth of experience
in a variety of disciplines. But
Bob Gardner and Dan Diepenhorst
make no mistake – if it’s necessary
to “bring in the big guns” to
resolve a problem or provide guidance
on a “technical glitch”, pride
is not an issue. Diepenhorst, Vice
President Josh Sigman and Vice
President Tom Romanello are
strictly hands on, and it is no accident
that they are the company’s
top producers.
If you have not had the
opportunity to do business with
Legacy Mutual Mortgage, they
invite you to stop into their
Flagship office located in the Bank
of Texas Building on the corner of
Bitters and Loop 1604.
