“What can I do for you?” Is a phrase
REALTORS rarely hear. Meritage/Legacy
Homes now has one person who will work
closely with Realtors on their needs selling a
Meritage or Legacy Home. “I am the initial
contact for the Realtor,” opens Cindy
Mitchell, Realtor Relations Manager for the
company. “We want and value Realtor business.
Realtors account for 60 - 70% of our
business and we want to build relationships
with them by making their job easier.”
Mitchell is a licensed Realtor who
spent four years selling residential real estate
in San Antonio. “As a real estate agent, I
was often frustrated when trying to show
new homes. I would call the Sales office,
and more times than not, get a voicemail
message and an unreturned call. I would
then drive out to the community with my
buyer to show them a house they were interested
in seeing, just to find out it was sold
and their inventory had not been updated. A
major part of my job is to maintain all of our
current and soon to be available inventory
homes on MLS. My information is updated
daily, if not hourly. By calling me first, I can
tell you exactly what homes are available in
the price range and area of San Antonio your
buyer is interested in. I will then call the
Sales Manager and set the appointment.
This way, the Sales Manager is expecting
you and knows what your needs and interests
are and is better prepared to take care of
you.”
“Meritage/Legacy Homes not only
makes the Realtor job less stressful with
Mitchell, but rewards agents for taking
advantage of this free service. “By using my
services, we will pay a $500 bonus to the
Realtor upon selling one of our homes, in
addition to any other bonuses we may be
offering at the time,” announced Mitchell.
“Our goal is to provide great service to the
Realtor while building relationships for
future business". Meritage/Legacy Homes
realized there was a misconception in the
real estate community that builders do not
want to work with Realtors. Nothing could
be further from the truth. Without Realtors,
we wouldn't be in business. There had to be
a better system to communicate information
between the builders and the Realtors and
Meritage/Legacy Homes has filled that gap
with this position,” continues Mitchell. I am
the liaison between the builder and the
Realtor and it is my goal to provide the best
service for Realtors, by building loyal relationships
and friendships with the Realtor by

working as hard for them as I do for
Meritage/Legacy.
All telephone calls are answered or
returned immediately. Much like Realtors,
she is available 7 days a week, all day and
evenings, and most holidays. Mitchell is
available for office and sales meeting presentations
and is actively involved in the
Realtor community and attends most of the
events and functions keeping in touch with
the Realtors.
Legacy Homes is currently building
in 9 communities in San Antonio and
Meritage Homes is building in 4 San
Antonio communities. The company website
is located at www.meritagehomes.com
and provides excellent details about available
homes, but Mitchell is the point of contact
for immediate updates on what is currently
available. Meritage is the 12th largest
residential homebuilder in the United States
and has won the coveted Texas Association
of Homebuilders' Builder of the Year Award
in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006. Homes
are designed and built coast to coast ranging
in price and product from homes for firsttime
buyers to upper-end luxury buyers.
Mitchell believes the San Antonio home
market is strong and exciting. “Our business
is steady across the board in all areas,” notes
Mitchell.
Mitchell is particularly excited
about two Legacy Home communities:
Highland Heights and The Enclave at
Westover Hills. Highland Heights is nestled
next to the Republic Golf Course, just minutes
from downtown and Brooks City Base
off Loop 410 and Highway 37. No other
south side community has as much to offer
Cindy Mitchell
for the price, with homes starting in the mid
$130K’s and ranging upward to the low
$200K’s. Homes are tucked away on a hilltop
with beautiful views of downtown and
surrounding areas.
The Enclave at Westover Hills is
located in the popular northwest area of the
city near Sea World and the Hyatt Hill
Country Resort. Oversized floor plans with
enhanced architectural details are available
to buyers from the $180K’s upwards to the
upper $270K’s. The community is just off
Loop 1604 near Highway 151 and is in the
popular Northside School District.
