Buyer Representative Designation (ABR).

movement was broken today with the
announcement that the first green Parade
of Homes will be held this summer at
Cibolo Canyons. The objective behind
the green Parade is to set a new standard
of environmentally conscious building
and development in San Antonio and
inspire other communities to pursue this
same line of thinking. In fact, the three
newest neighborhoods under construction
in Cibolo Canyons, Cielos, Palacios
(site of the 2008 Parade) and Campanas,
will all have homes certified by Build
San Antonio Green.
Each of the custom homes in the
2008 Parade of Homes at Cibolo
Canyons will be built under approved
specifications and certified green
through a quality review process administered
by Build San Antonio Green
(BSAG). Builders entering the BSAG
program receive ongoing training in
green building techniques, and are
required to attend Continuing Education
Classes. Builders must also submit
building plans and complete a detailed
green building checklist before certification.

earned the Water Saver Award from San
Antonio Water System for water conservation
measures that are built into
homes in all of its neighborhoods. The
development has an impervious cover
limit of 15 percent over the entire property,
which saves hundreds of trees and
natural vegetation. Over 790 acres of
Cibolo Canyons is dedicated to open
space and the community’s environmental
management plan is the most extensive
in the state.
