Jesse A. Baker built more than a
dream when he started his custom home
construction business over 50 years ago;
he created a company that mirrored his

When Ken Anderson joined him in the
early 1990’s, he brought 25 years of additional

dedication to home building retired.
Ken Anderson has been at the helm of the
team since the stepping down. Mr. Jesse
Baker still serves as Chairman of Baker
& Anderson. Ken Anderson works
directly with the homebuyers from start
to finish in the building process. The
University of Texas graduate has invested
over 30 plus years in the custom home
process perfecting each and every detail
of each new home. Baker & Anderson
Custom Homes has a loyal and long time
staff including Jason Goss, Production
Manager; Brenda Merkel, Licensed
Interior Designer; Trisha Lenz, Office
Manager/Sales and Dawn Hamilton,

Baker & Anderson Custom
Homes is currently building in Fair Oaks
Ranch and in The Heights of Comal
Trace. One of the most important
philosophies they incorporate is they
allow their clients to go at their own pace
to ensure they are comfortable with the
process. They complete between 8 to 12
homes a year, keeping their inventory and
client list manageable so that each project
gets the personal attention and care it
deserves from their staff. Homes can also
be built on the client’s own lot.
Production and home building is in full
swing with this team at this time. Part of
their service is to evaluate the client’s lot
and determine the best home design for
the location. Home prices range from the
mid $350’s upward to the $700’s.
